2020 Outlaw Half Marathon, 5K & 10K Cancelled

It’s with a heavy heart that we officially announce we will be cancelling the 2020 Outlaw race. We have taken all things into consideration and know in our hearts this is the best choice for our communities and each of you. The CDC has recommended all social gatherings over 50 people are cancelled, and Outlaw has certainly exceeded that number.
Here’s our plan for moving forward:

  1. All currently registered runners will have the opportunity to pick up their race tees and finisher’s medals at iRun Texas in San Antonio, or have these items mailed to you. We will only mail out your items if you live outside the city limits. We will not be charging for your mailing. If you are picking up, you will be allowed to pick up for other runners, with their permission.
We will let you know as soon as shirts and medals are available for pickup.
You will be responsible for letting us know if you want your race items mailed.
  2. We will be promoting this event as a virtual run. On April 11th, you can run the distance you signed up for in your own personal space or with your furry running buddy. We encourage you to post your photos and GPS info on our Facebook event page, or simply post using the hashtag #Outlaw2020. We would love to keep you all connected in your running endeavors, even if it is only digitally.
  3. Our race sponsors will still be helping us promote this event, and all those runners who participate in our virtual run by posting photos with the hashtag #Outlaw2020 will be entered to win a prize from Brooks Running or Gu. (We will not be awarding overall or time-based winners for this event).
  4. With the unknown ahead of us, we will not be taking registrations past those who are already registered.
  5. No refunds for this race with be issued.
  6. If you would like your race shirt and medal mailed to you, please fill out the form HERE.

Everyone at Split Second Productions and iRun Texas sincerely thank you for your understanding during these tough times. We were faced with some really difficult decisions, as we know many of you are facing right now as well. As time progresses and we make it to the other side of this national emergency, we hope to see all of your shining faces at our other races like Texas Too Hot, The Prettiest Race in Texas and Jingle Trails. Texas Too Hot will be celebrating our tenth year running, and we are looking forward to hosting a big party at the lake with all of our favorite running friends.

Thanks again,
Split Second Productions and iRun Texas
